Agenda

Calling All Youth Providers!

9 Feb

Please take two minutes to fill in our survey on youth provision.

The aim of this is for us all to share what we have in the Cally, what services are available and to whom.

This will help you to share what you have with other providers and agencies active in the area and will also help us at Team Cally identify gaps in provision.

Youth Provision Mapping

8 Feb

As you will remember, In December we tried to show an accurate summary of youth services and activities in the Cally neighbourhood.
Below is a map showing the activities in our area and roughly where they are based.

This map however is not exhaustive and we need your help to keep it updated and relevant.

Soon we will be issuing a questionnaire, either over the telephone or an online form on this page.

Thank you in advance

Tackling crime, the local environment and helping young people

We plan for three sub-groups consisting of:

  • The Caledonian Ward Safer Neighbourhood Panel which is an active and keenly engaged group of residents with an action plan and monitoring system devised and managed by the resident-led committee;
  • The Copenhagen Play and Youth Partnership which is a coordinating umbrella body for providers of youth services from the voluntary, community and faith sectors;
  • The Caledonian Environment Task Force which is a resident-led grouping (actively supported by ICSL and Islington’s client side team) that has a rolling programme addressing tactical issues to improve the locality’s environment.

In due course it is likely that further sub-groups will be established which will lead on, for example:

  • local economy and employment
  • needs of older people
  • health and well-being
